Choose natural and biodegradable materials

- Natural-fibre brushes and cloths avoid shedding microplastics.
Buy durable, replace less
A high-density sponge or a well-made brush that lasts months instead of weeks means less waste — and usually better cleaning. Quality is the quiet eco choice.
Use less of everything
Efficient Japanese sponges and body towels lather with very little detergent, so you use less soap, less water and less packaging over time.
Care extends life
Rinse, wring and air-dry your tools after use. A sponge that dries fully between uses stays hygienic and lasts far longer than one left damp.
At the end of its life
Compost plant-fibre sponges, and cut up worn cloths for a final round as cleaning rags before disposal.
