Overview
Are your dishes and cleaning cloths truly getting clean?
Invisible bacteria are everywhere around us. Once they find dirt and moisture, they rapidly multiply, causing unpleasant odors and even mold. These bacteria penetrate deep into fibers and become very difficult to remove. During humid rainy seasons or in the summer heat, their growth accelerates dramatically.

Even if you frequently wipe down tables and wash dishes, if your sponge or cloth carries bacteria, you may actually be spreading germs rather than cleaning. Disinfection with alcohol, bleach, or boiling water is effective but inconvenient for everyday use. This is why long-lasting antibacterial performance is essential.
Proven History of Biosil®
Biosil® has been researched since 1965 by Dow Corning in the USA and was first commercialized in socks in 1976. In Japan, Toray Dow Corning obtained the trademark “Biosil®” and began applying it to apparel in 1981. Since then, no cases of skin irritation have been reported. The technology has earned certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), confirming its high level of safety.

Powerful & Wide-Ranging Antibacterial Action
Biosil® exhibits broad-spectrum effectiveness. It acts directly on microbes that come into contact with the treated surface, keeping the sponge itself hygienic and preventing odor.

Durable & Long-Lasting Effect
The anti-bacterial agent is chemically bonded to the fibers in a non-leaching form. This ensures that the effect lasts for a long time while remaining safe to use, without dissolving into water.

Safe for Skin Contact
Because of its proven safety, Biosil® has been used in underwear and garments that come into direct contact with the skin. It does not penetrate into the human body, making it safe for daily use in household products.
How Biosil® Works
Healthy bacteria are spherical. When they touch a Biosil®- treated surface, the cationic (+) charge of Biosil® is attracted to the negatively charged cell membrane. This weakens the membrane, causing it to rupture. The cell contents leak out, resulting in cell death and the prevention of bacterial growth.

Aisen’s Contribution
Aisen recognized the potential of Biosil® early on and became the first in Japan to apply it to cleaning tools. In 1986, the company released its very first product, the Biosil Cleaner. Since then, it has been loved for more than 25 years as a long-selling, trusted item in households.
