1950s–60s｜The Synthetic Revolution
In 1952, we partnered with Asahi Kasei, the inventor of Japan’s first synthetic fiber “Saran,” and became the very first company to launch synthetic‐fiber tawashi scrubbers nationwide. Natural palm fibers were suddenly lighter, faster-drying – and factories could scale production to meet the country’s post-war boom.
But we didn’t stop there. By 1963, aisen imported cutting-edge “hair-implant” brush machines from the U.K., West Germany and Sweden, automating what had been entirely hand-set work. Output soared, quality became perfectly consistent, and Japanese households met a new standard of clean.

1950〜60年代｜合成繊維が変えた掃除の常識
1952年、旭化成工業が開発した日本初の合成繊維「サラン」と提携し、業界で最も早く合成繊維たわしを発売しました。ヤシ繊維に比べて軽く、乾きやすく、大量生産も可能―戦後の日本で急速に広がる“清潔”ニーズに応える画期的な製品でした。
さらに1963年には、英国・西ドイツ・スウェーデンから植毛ブラシ機を導入。手作業だったブラシ製造を自動化し、生産量と品質を飛躍的に向上させました。日本のキッチンに「プラスチック柄ブラシ」が当たり前になった原点です。
